Armchair diagnosis and cosmetic dentistry treatment plan.
- Cosmetic dentistry treatment plan #1:
An ideal way to make changes with this person's smile would involve the use of orthodontic treatment (braces), and the placement of some combination of
dental veneers and/or dental crowns.
The orthodontic work portion of the treatment would idealize the position of all of the teeth. The selective placement of veneers and crowns would idealize the shape and color of whichever teeth were found to require this type of attention.
- Cosmetic dentistry treatment plan #2:
Some people may feel that they do not want to undergo the process of having orthodontic treatment. In these cases dental crowns and/or dental veneers can often be used to rebuild teeth so to give them a straighter and more idealized appearance.
The wild card here is how much of this person's tooth misalignment is related to the way their teeth come together (the occlusion). The shape of crowns and veneers must conform to requirements dictated by a person's bite. Only this person's dentist, and not our picture, could definitively determine to what degree an improvement in appearance could be made.
