Cosmetically speaking, this person's center four upper teeth seem to be the concern. The teeth themselves appear to be sound and healthy but their shape and alignment is not perfect.
- Treatment Plan:
It seems likely that the results we've illustrated for this person's center two upper teeth could be achieved by the placement of
porcelain veneers.
The veneers could both idealize the shape of these two teeth and serve as a way of closing the space (the "diastema") which exists between them (if the patient so desired).
The changes we've illustrated for the other two teeth might also be made via the placement of porcelain veneers. If not then the changes could certainly be accomplished by the placement of
dental crowns.
The decision as to which method would be most appropriate would have to be made by this person's dentist. In part the decision would be based on how much of the existing tooth structure would need to be trimmed away so to achieve the appearance which is desired.
