- History: When you look at this person's smile you are drawn to the irregularities found on the biting edges of their teeth and of course also the gap that lies between the two center teeth. (Dentists refer to this type of space as a "diastema".)
- Cosmetic dentistry treatment plan:
Dental crowns (or possibly
porcelain veneers) made to be slightly wider than the teeth were originally could be placed on the center two teeth as a means of both closing the diastema and straightening their biting edges. At times this type of approach can result in teeth that look oversized but, as our "after" picture indicates, in this case the results seem reasonable.
Our "after" picture also simulates how the minor irregularities in the biting edges of other teeth could be corrected by way of placing white fillings.
